4000 Exposed Thermostatic Mixing Valves
provide tempered water for small to medium sized
institutional and commercial applications such as
individual and group showers, tub spas, and wash
basins located in schools, hotels, hospitals,
prisons, and nursing homes. The Series 4000 mixes
quantities of hot and cold water to deliver
tempered water at a constant outlet temperature.
The Series 4000 provides flow rates of .5 to 20
gpm @ 45 psi and are available in pipe sizes of
1/2" and 3/4". The Series 4000 comes
with a wall mounting flange for exposed mounting.
These valves provide safety protection from
scalding upon: 1) failure of the thermostat, 2)
shut-off of hot water, or 3) shut-off of cold
water. These one piece, single body valves
contain a liquid filled thermostat, a stainless
steel piston and liner, full shut-off back seat,
and meet ASSE 1017 requirements. They are
available with stop & checks, thermometer,
volume control, cabinet assemblies, and a choice
of rough bronze or polished chrome finish.
